The workshop is held in a beautiful, elegant, private Portugese house in the town of Olhao.
Just 15 minutes from Faro Airport, the town has been a vibrant fishing village since Roman times and continues to have a thriving and lively local community. There is a daily fish market and an extensive Saturday market running along the waterfront, a haven for all foodies and offering a wealth of photographic opportunities.
The town has a unique mix of Moorish cubism and faded grandeur and has managed to escape the package tourist and golfing crowds. It isn’t technically a ‘beach’ town but one of it’s absolute joys is taking a ferry or river taxi to one of the outlying islands, Armona, Culatra, Farol and Deserta each of which has it’s own personality and character.
